Remove Dry Skin From Your Feet

Dry skin is nothing but the dead skin that has accumulated over the top layer of your skin because it has not been exfoliated for a long time. We have some very simple and easy ways to get rid of dead skin from feet and legs.

How To Remove Dry Skin From Your Feet

1. Coconut Oil

You Will Need

Virgin coconut oil
What You Have To Do
  1. Massage some coconut oil on your feet until it is absorbed into the skin.
  2. Leave it on overnight.
You can also use olive oil or baby oil instead of coconut oil. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to any of the carrier oils for a soothing effect.
How Often You Should Do This
Do this every night before going to bed.
Why This Works
Coconut oil is an excellent emollient and humectant that hydrates your skin and makes all the dryness and flakiness vanish after just a few applications.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

Pinit
You Will Need
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • A bucket of warm water
What You Have To Do
  1. Add the vinegar to the bucket of water and soak your feet in it for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Remove your feet from the water and scrub them with your hands to remove the flaky skin.
  3. Rinse with plain water. Pat dry and apply a moisturizer.
How Often You Should Do This
Repeat this twice a week.
Why This Works
The malic acid present in ACV exfoliates the dead skin cells that are making your skin look flaky and dry. ACV also restores the skin’s pH balance and relieves dryness in the long run.

3. Coconut Sugar Scrub

Pinit
You Will Need
  • 1/4 brown sugar
  • 4-5 tablespoons coconut oil
  • A few drops of essential oil (lemon, peppermint or tea tree oil)
What You Have To Do
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and use this mixture to scrub your feet gently.
  2. Scrub using circular motions for a few minutes.
  3. Rinse it off first with lukewarm water and then with cool water.
The essential oil is an optional ingredient and can be skipped if not available.
How Often You Should Do This
Use this scrub 2-3 times a week until you get relief from dry and flaky skin.
Why This Works
Brown sugar exfoliates and removes flaky skin easily. It also cleanses the skin, leaving it soft and supple. Coconut oil acts as a moisturizer in this remedy and treats the dryness by supplying the skin cells with essential fatty acids.
